The principle
The stove with a retractable door is designed to be fitted.
The glass door slides upwards and is hidden behind the brickwork. The stove is then like an open fire or a hearth.

With the glass door lowered, it produces excellent efficiency and ensures complete safety.
Its exceptionally large glass door provides a perfect view of the fire.

Efficiency and performance
All of the Stûv 21 models achieved excellent results in tests carried out according to European standards.
Operation
The Stûv 21 makes use of a simple law of physics - natural convection :

the air circulates in a double wall (1) around the stove, heats up, rises and escapes through purpose-built vents (2).
.Some of the hot air can be directed to an adjacent room.
A fan is therefore not required with the basic configuration.

The air required for combustion sweeps the inside of the glass door (3) preventing the deposit of soot so that it remains clean.
