Built-in stoves and inserts to warm up your winter

Wood, gas or pellet built-in stoves and inserts: every Stûv installation project presents its own architectural challenges. Bases, frames, front panels… The different cladding elements are essential when it comes to making sure our product fits in with your home, which is a real priority that makes Stûv so unique.

Blending into the architecture and showcasing the fire

Blending into the architecture and showcasing the fire

Installing a fire within a fireplace: a real design challenge! Stûv claddings have the threefold challenge of creating the perfect setting for the fire, structuring the space and blending into the background of your interior. That’s why, for all of our inserts and built-in stoves, we offer discreet claddings with clean lines to create natural links between the design of our products and the interior design of your home. That’s Stûv’s hallmark.

A new-build or a complete renovation project? There is a wide range of Stûv stoves that are designed to be built in to the building itself. In all cases, the cladding helps to limit the masonry finishes and showcase the fire without striking the wrong architectural note. Some claddings also boast a certain level of practicality, for example by letting you incorporate hot air inlets and outlets and avoid the need to install unattractive grills near the fire.

Are you installing a stove in a home that is already being lived in? Is a built-in model not an option? You haven’t incorporated an alcove in your plans but you don’t want a stand-alone stove either? Stûv has “ready-to-fit” claddings and fireplaces that mean you can install stoves without having to touch the structure of the building. If major work is not possible, these solutions mean you can make sure the stove fits in visually, and offer a simple solution for anyone who wants to focus on the fire and the sensations that it triggers rather than the object itself.

Infinite possibilities for every stove

Infinite possibilities for every stove

Easy and quick to install and remove (when you move house for example), Stûv claddings are available in different models and finishes:

  • Frames:
Metal, glass or resin (for gas Stûvs), the frames can be attached to built-in stoves, avoiding extra finishing work.
  • Ready-to-fit fireplaces and front panels:
Front panels give some volume to a built-in stove and highlight its width or height. They also make it easier to build the stove into the wall, sometimes completely hiding the alcove, which means you don’t have to spend time finishing them off and guaranteeing a high-quality finish. They also mean that the stoves can partially be “un-built-in”. Every configuration is possible: corner, symmetrical or asymmetrical, wide or narrow, available in 19 colours, using powder paints that are resistant to high temperatures, as well as a “rust effect” finish (steel that is oxidised, then stabilised). Ready-to-fit fireplaces can even incorporate one or more spaces for wood storage!
  • “Undercover”:
This is a unique cladding technique for Stûv gas stoves. What you see: a stunning stove made up of beautiful curves, that fits in perfectly with your interior and architecture. What you don’t see: structures made from an ecological, composite material that is heat resistant. These frames fit in to your wall perfectly, avoiding any cracks in the plaster around the stove, and they are also light and easy to fit. And as the top layer can be covered, it’s easy to paint it in the colour of your choice.  The are different models available, and they are all “cradle to cradle” (fully biodegradable and reusable)!
  • Bases:
Compatible with the Stûv 16-cube, our bases can be combined with other modules and come with storage drawers. The fan and the external air connection can be incorporated into it, and the log trolley fits in perfectly with this piece of furniture. Bases are available in 19 shades.
  • Side cabinets:
The Stûv microMega can come with storage cupboards in which to keep wood, firelighters, an ash shovel, vacuum cleaner, barbecue grill... and anything else you need to light a good fire. So much more than mere decoration, these cupboards extend the lines of the stove whilst also offering really practical storage spaces.
